Things have been fairly quiet on the Halle Berry front in the last couple of years, almost as if having a young daughter to raise is an excuse not to make an endless string of movies. However she’s now lined herself up a new film role, with Deadline reporting that he’s set to star in Shoe Addicts Anonymous, based on the bestselling book by Beth Harbison.
And if you think the title is bad, just wait until you hear the synopsis: ‘The comedy looks at the lives of four Chicago women from different ethnic backgrounds, bonded by two things. They are shoe addicts who wear the same size. They form a support group, swap 7.5s and become – wait for it – sole sisters. Eventually their bond goes beyond footwear. Berry will play an agoraphobe who feeds her addiction with online footwear purchases.’
The movie will be directed by Made Of Honour and Mr. Bean’s Paul Weiland, although there’s no news on who the other three main women in the film will be played by. To be honest, I think she just needs to convince Fox to put her in another X-Men movie, because I sure can’t see many people wanting to watch this.
