A couple of months ago it was announced that Peter Jackson’s WETA special effects company was working on a new version of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind In The Willows. The $30 million movie will follow a sinister plot that threatens to destroy the uneasy truce between the peaceful animals of the Willows and mankind, with Mole, Rat, Badger and Toad all involved. Ray Griggs will direct, based on a script by Bill Marsilii.
While early reports said much of the film would be done using people in animatronic suits, a new promo flyer image and teaser trailer has popped up online, suggesting we may be largely going CG with the film. So if you wanna see the slightly gothic direction the film is taking, take a look at the promo flyer (found via Bleeding Cool) below, and the promo teaser trailer underneath that, which may largely be a lot of flying text, but does give you a look at Toad at the end.
