Michael Caine is well known for not being the type of guy who carefully follows the studio line, refusing to say anything that hasn’t been vetted and approved by the official suits. He tells people what he knows and doesn’t seem to have a lot of time for the type of ridiculous secrecy that normally surround the early days of a new movie. Now he’s been talking again, suggesting at the UK premiere of Inception that the third Batman movie will start shooting next April.
That would certainly make sense, as while Christopher Nolan has said he’s only just moving onto the next Bat movie, his brother Jonathan has been writing the film for months, with a 2012 release date pencilled in. However it certainly doesn’t sound like a shooting date is definitely set yet, as Caine said, via Digital Spy, “I think they’re going to do it in April, but that’s about as much as I know.”
