Although he’s yet to have a solo hit, Danny McBride seems to have little trouble selling pitches to Hollywood studios, as in the last few months numerous ideas he’s either come up with or is attached to have found a home and are now in the development stage.
The latest, according to THR, is Bullies, an original comedy project from Danny McBride, which is to to be written by Yes Man scribes Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul. The story is about a pair of brothers who have bullied people all their lives, and then, inevitably, finally get what is coming to them. There’s no word on whether McBride will definitely play one of those brothers, but you’ve got to imagine the script is being written with him in mind.
Mandate has bought the rights to the pitch, although there’s no word on when they hope to put it in front of the cameras.
