Sofia Coppola likes to take her time between movies, as she’s only made Lost In Translation and Marie Antoinette since her breakout Virgin Suicides in 1999. Now she’s got another one coming, Somewhere, which seems to once again explores the idea of fame and identity crisis she looked at in her previous films. This one stars Stephen Dorff as a hard-living Hollywood actor who re-examines his life when his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning) pays him a visit. With a great soundtrack by The Strokes, the first trailer doesn’t tell us much, but then getting the feel for a Coppola movie from the trailer has always been tough. Somewhere is scheduled for release in the US at Christmas, just in time for Oscars consideration, so expect it here just afterwards.
