While Justin Theroux has spent the last few years busily expanding his repetoire by not just acting, but also writing the likes of Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2 and a sequel to Zoolander, as well as directing the movie Dedication, has decided to step back on front of the camera and take a major role in Wanderlust, opposite Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston.
According to Deadline, the Charlie’s Angels and Miami Vice actor will take a lead role in the movie, which is about a couple who, after losing all their money, decide to go and live at a free-wheeling commune. Rudd and Aniston will play the couple, but unfortunately it’s not yet known where Theroux will fit in, although it’s easy to imagine him having something to do with running a commune. David Wain will direct, with filming due to start in September.
Theroux will next be seen as the villain in the fairytale comedy You Highness, opposite Danny McBride, James Franco and Natalie Portman.
