Since the release of Zombieland, director Ruben Fleischer has been fielding numerous offers for other movies, but the only one he’s publicly talked about is a sequel to his undead comedy horror. Now Deadline is reporting that he may be ready to sign up for the comedy 30 Minutes Or Less, which is due to star Danny McBride.
Interestingly if he does so, he’ll probably have to pass on a very big movie his name has been linked to, Mission: Impossible IV. The producers of that film are said interested in him taking on the Tom Cruise franchise, but apparently he’s more intrigued by 30 Minutes Or Less.
Although the makers of the comedy has hoped to keep the logline of 30 Minutes a secret, as the title suggests, its emerged that it’s about a pizza guy on a caper.
The LA Times reports that it appears several other projects Fleischer was courted for, including a potential Will Ferrell vehicle called Daddy’s Home, and a female version of The Hangover titled The Bachelorette, have fallen by the wayside, with the director instead waiting for a film that he really wanted to make, rather than just jumping in bed with any movie he was offered. 30 Minures Or Less is likely to shoot this summer.
