This is one of those trailers that suggest the film could either be wonderful or absolutely dreadful, with little room for anything in-between. Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, the film is about a married woman (played by Julia Roberts) who realises her life needs to go in a different direction and, after a painful divorce, takes off on a round-the-world journey of self-discovert. Although Eat, Pray, Love could be entertaining, it could also be about a myopic, tedious middle-class person who can’t conprehend anything other than themselves (which, let’s face it, most Hollywood movies are). We’ll have to wait and see what it actually is when the film hits cinemas this summer.
