Liv Tyler hasn’t exactly inundated us with new movies since starring in Lord Of The Rings, and of what she has appeared in, The Incredible Hulk was the only full-on Hollywood flick. However now both she and Patrick Wilson have lined up roles in the suspense thriller, The Ledge, from first time writer/director, Matthew Chapman.
They’ll join Terrence Howard and Charlie Hunnam, who have the main parts in the movie, which is about a young man standing on a high-rise ledge who insists he must jump by noon, while a policeman below tries manage the situation. However while THR reports the news of Tyler and Wilson’s involvement, there’s no info on exactly what parts the duo will take in the indie flick.
And while it’s a producer’s job to talk up a film he’s got into production, Michael Mailer outdoes himself in hyperbole by saying, “As more and more films succumb to the visual wizardry of 3D, The Ledge explores the fourth dimension: the interior life of tortured souls hovering over the precipice of emotional nullity. This film is the reason why I became an independent filmmaker and why I continue to suffer in the trenches of independent filmmaking.” Ok Mike, you say that now, before The Ledge gets panned and goes straight-to-DVD.
Filming started on the movie yesterday.
