Despite the fact his movies rarely make much money at the box office anymore, Woody Allen certainly doesn’t have a problem attracting star talent to his films. For example, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger, due out later this year, has Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin, Antonio Banderas and others appearing in it.
With that flick already in the in can, Woody is busy planning his next film (few directors make a movie a year, almost as regular as clockwork, like he does). Last November France’s first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy said she would be appearing in the movie – although this has never been confirmed by Allen’s camp – and it now appears she’ll be joined by Owen Wilson, who THR says is attached to star.
As always with Woody’s films, he’s keeping everything about the movie quiet, with no news on the plot, title or even how big Wilson’s role in the movie might be. After all, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger has already completed filming, but we still dont’ really know what that’s about. Whatever the film is, it should start shooting this summer.
