Although her parents couldn’t spell and called her Ginnifer, it’s almsot surprising that following her success in Big Love, we haven’t seen more of Giniffer Goodwin on the big screen. She popped up in Walk The Line and A Single Man, but she hasn’t been as visible as you might expect for someone who’s been touted as the next big thing for several years.
However she’s now got another chance to shine of the silver screen, as Variety reports that she’s in talks to play the lead in Alcon Entertainment’s romantic movie, Something Borrowed. She will play a Manhattan attorney who gets involved with her best friend’s fiance, shortly after her 30th birthday. That doesn’t sound very romantic. In fact it just makes the main character seem like a bitch, but presumably there’s more to it than that and it is the rom-com that’s being suggested.
Based on Emily Giffin’s novel, the film version is being fast-tracked for a spring shoot, with Luke Greenfield (The Girl Next Door) behind the camera.
