While both Vicent D’Onofrio and Kyra Sedgwick once had promising movie careers, they’ve spent the last few years plying their trade on the small screen; D’Onofrio in Law & Order: Criminal Intent (which he’s now left) and Sedgwick on the excellent The Closer. However the two actors are now teaming up for the indie flick dramedy, Chlorine.
THR reports that the film “revolves around a family struggling to maintain their well-to-do lifestyle in their overly materialistic New England community. Sedgwick plays the matriarch, who is more interested in appearances than caring for or showing affection toward her husband (D’Onofrio) and pushes him into a bad real estate deal.”
It’s second time around on the film for writer/director Jay Alaimo, who was close to filming it a few years ago with Ray Liotta and Demi Moore, but it fell apart due to scheduling and Hurricane Katrina. Shooting on the revamped version begins this month in New Jersey.
