Disney/Pixar must have been reading Movie Muser, as only hours after we were talking about Cars and its upcoming sequel in yesterday’s Movie-A-Day feature, they’ve released the first concept art from Cars 2: World Grand Prix. To be honest the image isn’t desperately revealing, other than telling us Lightning McQueen is back on the track (which we could have guessed) and that at some point in the film he’ll be racing in Japan.
The film is said to be about Lightning and Mater on a round the world trip, with the latter getting caught in a Hitchcockian case of mistaken identity. Take a look below for the concept art. Cars 2 will hit cinemas, summer 2011.
