The Duplass Brothers have gained a bit of a reputation for themeselves in the indie field following The Puffy Chair and Baghead, and now they’re going slightly more mainstream with Cyrus. John C. Reilly stars as a divorced man who’s having trouble adjusting to single life, especially as his ex (Catherine Keener) is about to remarry. Then he meets the potential woman of his dreams (Marisa Tomei). However problems arise when he meets her grown son (Jonah Hill), and the two begin to clash. A mix of broad comedy and indie sensibilities, Cyrus certainly seems like it could be worth a look. There’s no release date set as yet, but the film is premiering at Sundance.
