Antoine Fuqua, director of King Arthur and Training Day, seems to circle a lot of projects before actually committing to one and making it. In recent months Fuqua has become attached to the Spike Lee produced comic book movie, Miss: Better Living Through Crime, as well as the revenge thriller, Prisoners.
Now he can add another to the list, as Variety reports that he’s signed up with CBS Films to make Consent To Kill, based on Vince Flynn’s 2005 novel of the same name, with a script by Jonathan Lemkin. Although the studio isn’t saying exactly how it will get adapted to the screen, the book is about counterterrorism agent Mitch Rapp, who has to deal with a vengeful Saudi billionaire, ex-East German stasi spies and and team of assassins.
As yet there’s no news on when Consent To Kill might start filming, but with the people behind Prisoners wanting to get that movie before the cameras as soon as possible, Fuqua may well make that first.
