Oh dear. Every time it seems Charlie Sheen has managed to get over his wild man image, something else comes along to ruin it. The Wall Street and Two and a Half Men star was arrested on Christmas Day after police were called to a domestic violence situation at an address in Aspen, Colorado. The victim is believed to be Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller. They didn’t even wait for the post-dinner argument for all this to happen, as Sheen was arrested at 11.20am in the morning.
After being booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, Charlie spent much of the rest of the day in jail, with People reporting that he posted an $8,500 bond Friday evening, and was released from jail at 7pm. He’s due back in court on February 8th, 2010.
It’s certainly not Charlie’s first brush with the law, or with domestic violence charges, as he was accused in 1996 of knocking a woman out at his home. It’s not likely to help his increasingly bitter custody battles with Denise Richards, with whom he has has two young daughters, either.
