With posters popping up all over the place and a trailer due at Christmas, Paramount has decided that it’s also time to launch the Iron Man 2 viral campaign. Over at SuperheroHype, they got the exclusive on an image that the studio has said is an Iron Man 2 ‘clue’.
But a clue to what? Well, your guess is as good as ours. If you look below (or head over to SuperheroHype for a larger version), there are a couple of things that seem obviously clue-like, such as the faint arrow pointing to Tony Stark, and the fact the word ‘secret’ is highlighted. However despite being bright and prominently placed, the names P. Buckner and N. King seem to be dead-ends, as it appears they’re just nods to art director Page Buckner and art department co-ordinator, Nancy King. What does seem true is that it’s somehow linked to the Whiplash poster released today (click here to see it), which also has a background of newspaper cuttings.
It would seem then that this ‘clue’ is one part of the collection of Iron Man materials Ivan Vanko puts together when he makes his Whiplash suit. However there’s probably more to it than that, so if you have any ideas, let us know in the comments below.
