While 1941 might be Steven Spielberg’s most notorious flop (a knockabout comedy set just after the bombing of Pearl Harbor was always going to be a tough sell), the 1979 movie, starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd, is nevertheless an interesting, overblown and anarchic movie. It’s also a must see for fans of the director’s other films, if only because it’s such a marked departure from anything else he’s ever made. However it’s never come out on DVD in the UK, but that’s now being remedied, with a two-disc special edition that’s coming to digital disc on December 28th. We’ve just been sent this DVD trailer, which features some vintage promo footage of John Belushi trying to recruit you, so CLICK HERE to take a look at the Quicktime trailer (it may take a while to load).
