If things keep going at this rate, breakout Hangover star Zach Galifianakis will be appearing in every movie that comes to cinemas. Following the announcement of roles in Dinner For Schmucks, Due Date, It’s Kind Of A Funny Story, Puss In Boots, Town House and The Hangover 2, it seems he’s adding another movie to the list, this one reuniting him with fellow Hangover star, Bradley Cooper.
The creator of the sensational TV hit Mad Men, Matthew Weiner, is planning to come to the big screen with the romantic comedy You Are Here, with Galifianakis, Cooper and Jennifer Aniston all attached to star. According to Variety, Weiner wrote the script for the film several years ago while he was working on The Sopranos, but he’s only now got the chance to bring it to the big screen. At the moment through, there’s no news on the plot.
However, while Weiner had initially planned to direct the film in the next few months, between seasons of Mad Men, scheduling problems have forced a hiatus. It now looks like the movie won’t go before the cameras until 2011, although everyone involved has promised to find a way to make it work then.
We may have to wait a while to see it, but quite frankly anything Matthew Weiner is involved in is worth keeping an eye out for, so we’ll just have to hope the delay doesn’t turn into cancellation.
