A few weeks ago, it was announced that King Of New York and Driller Killer director, Abel Ferrara, would be stepping behind the camera to make Game Of Death, with Wesley Snipes as a politician’s bodyguard who must fend off five of the world’s top assassins.
The duo worked together previously on King Of New York and it looked like just the kick in the pants that Snipes’ career needed. However Moviehole now reports that Ferrara has left the project, although there are no reasons given as to why he might have stepped away from a film that was just starting to film. They report that he’s now been replaced by Giorgio Serafini, the Italian director of nothing anybody has ever seen.
Oh dear, we now smell this one going straight-to-DVD, just as everything else has that Snipes has made in the past five years.
