While she was fairly big in the late 90s, Anne Heche then went a bit nuts and disappeared from our screens, however it appears that her role in HBO’s Hung has reignited interest in the actress, as Variety reports that she’s scored two major movie roles.
She’ll be joining Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in The Other Guys, which has just started filming. The film is about a pair of inept cops who get a chance to prove themselves, but things don’t go according to plan. According to Variety, Heche will play a businesswoman who hires Ferrell and Wahlberg to look into financial losses at her company. Tha Adam McKay directed film also stars Eva Mendes, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton and Dwayne Johnson.
Heche has also landed the female lead in Cedar Rapids, opposite Ed Helms, which is about a boring insurance agent who heads off to an industry convention in order to try and save the jobs of his colleagues, with Heche playing a woman who befriends him. The Miguel Arteta (Youth in Revolt) directed movie will also feature John C. Reilly as a convention attendee who sees the whole thing as a chance to let loose.
