This looks absolutely nuts, but an awful lot of fun. Directed by Adam Elliot, who won an Oscar for his 2003 animated short Harvie Krumpet, he’s now made his first feature length movie, the stop motion flick, Mary and Max. It’s a tale of friendship between two unlikely pen pals – Mary, a lonely, eight-year-old girl living in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, and Max, a 44-year old, severely obese man living in New York. Featuring the voices of Toni Collette, Philip Seymour Hoffman Eric Bana and Barry Humphries, it looks like it could be a unique treat, so click below to see the trailer. As yet, there’s no UK release date set.
