So we can cover as many films as possible, we thought we’d give you these quick updates of some of the smaller film announcements…
Three new actors have been announced for The Adjustment Bureau, Bourne screenwriter George Nolfi’s adaptation of a Philip K. Dick short story about a rising politician who meets a beautiful ballet dancer, but there’s a strange organisation that seems to be keeping them apart. Matt Damon and Emily Blunt has already been cast as politician and the dancer, and now Daniel Dae Kim (of Lost fame), Michael Kelly (Defendor) and John Slattery (Mad Men) have joined the film. Kim will play someone who works for the mysterious Bureau Of Adjustments, while Slattery will be a high ranking Bureau executive. Kelly meanwhile will be Damon’s friend and political campaign manager. Filming is due to start in the next couple of months. (Source: THR)
Deborah Unger and James Nesbitt have joined Martin Sheen in the family drama, The Way, which is due to be directed by Sheen’s son, Emilio Estevez. The Spanish funded film will see Sheen’s character travelling to France to claim the body of his estranged son, however as this is at one of the startpoints of the Camino de Santiago pilgramage route, it starts Sheen on a journey along the ancient pathway. Also already in the cast are Angela Molina, Simon Andreu, Eusebio Lazaro and Carlos Leal. The film is shooting now. (Source: Variety)

Ghost Rider 2 is likely to be based on the script David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins) wrote nine years ago for the first film, before Mark Steven Johnson took over directing duties and moved things in a very different direction. While the script was originally designed to have a hard-R rating, it’s now being retooled as a PG-13 script, but should still have the demon Zatharos running around. Goyer is acting as a producer on Ghost Rider 2, which should again see Nicolas Cage as the flame-skulled one. (Source: Collider)
In remarkablly unsurpising news, Christopher Nolan’s new film, Inception, will be getting an IMAX release. As The Dark Knight even filmed some of its action sequences using IMAX cameras, it’s not even vaguely surprising that Nolan’s new movie, due out during July next year, will also be getting the biggest of all big screen treatments. The film itself is still a bit of a mystery, with the main info being that it’s set ‘within the architecture of the mind’. (Source: THR)
