Although stories about Jessica Alba are a good excuse to publish the picture to the right, we do actually have some news,, as it appears she’s signed up for two new films. According to one of Production Weekly’s Twitter posts, she’s agreed to star in First Wedding, Then Marriage, which is set to start filming next month and will be Dermot Mulroney’s directorial debut.
Although they don’t say what part she’ll be playing, the likelihood is she’ll be the main character, a marriage counsellor whose worldview is rocked when her parents (Blythe Danner and Christopher Walken) decide to get divorced. No, we can’t see Alba as a marriage counsellor, but it looks like that’s what’s happening.
Just to keep her even more busy, THR reports that Alba is in talks to join the latest instalment in the Meet The Parents series, currently called Little Fockers. Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner (again!) and Owen Wilson will all be returning. Alba will play an attractive pharmaceutical rep, who gets Stiller, De Niro and Wilson all hot under the collar with her attractive looks. The film is expected to start filming in the next few months, largely following the fact Stiller and Polo’s characters have now got kids. It’s due for release next year.
