The first in-movie image from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s new film, Paul, has come from a rather unusual source. Rather than being released to a website or magazine, the makers put it up on one of the soundstages at Universal Studios in Hollywood to advertise that they were making the movie. Now someone’s taken a snap of the image and Collider has published it, giving us our first look at the film.
Although Greg Mottola is directing rather than Edgar Wright, Paul sees Pegg and Frost reunite as two comic book geeks who take a road trip across the US, which takes a few unusual turns, including them encountering an alien called Paul outside Area 51. Along with Pegg and Frost in the pic is Kristen Wiig on the left and Blythe Danner on the right. Take a look below to see the image, or click over to Collider for a slightly larger version.
