Josh lucas has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy, Life As We Know It, which is already set to star Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel and Christina Hendricks. Although described as a romantic comedy, it’s actually about two unattached adults (Heigl and Duhamel), whose worlds are turned upside down when their mutual best friends die in an accident and name them as caregivers of their orphaned daughter.
No, it doesn’t exactly sound like a barrel of laughs, but with Brothers & Sisters producer Greg Berlanti directing, hopefully he’ll be able to navigate the minefield between tragedy and comedy.
There’s no news on exactly what role Lucas will play, although hopefully it’ll be something meaty, as he’s one of those actors who’s been good in all sorts of stuff, but he’s never really broken through to the big time.
I have to see I’m intrigued by Life As We Know It, as I just don’t know how it’s going to work, especially as Heigl and Duhamel have previously only made light, fluffy stuff film – not movies about orphaned kids.
