Oscar winning Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black’s planned inide drama, What’s Wrong With Virginia, is certainly coming together, with Variety announcing that Ed Harris, Emma Roberts and Amy Madigan have signed on to appear in the movie.
Ed Harris will be replacing Liam Neeson, who’d previously been attached to the role of a sherriff whose bid to become a state senator is threatened when his daughter starts to date the son of a psychologically disturbed woman with whom he’s had a two-decade long affair. The previously cast Jennifer Connelly will play the title role of the troubled woman. We’re not sure why his daughter dating somebody stops you becoming a senator, but I’m sure we’ll find out (is his daughter’s new boyfriend also his son?).
Neeson had to step aside as he’s currently just started shooting The A-Team and will be tied up playing Hannibal for the next few months. Dustin Lance Black has both written and will be directing the film, which is due to start filming in Michigan later this month.
