The cast for the remake of Red Dawn is growing and growing, with the latest news (via Variety), being that Watchmen’s The Comedian himself, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is in talks for a role in the film. He’d be joining Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Josh Peck (The Wackness), Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights), Isabel Lucas (Transformers 2), Josh Hutcherson (Journey To The Center Of The Earth), Edwin Hodge (Mental) and Connor Cruise (Seven Pounds) in the movie, about a group of teens fighting back after the US is invaded (It was the Russians and Chinese in the original, although we’re presuming it’ll be someone else in the remake).
Morgan will play the leader of a US Special Forces team, who discovers the youngsters, who go by the name of The Wolverines, while working behind enemy lines. He’ll have to make up his mind about the role pretty soon, as the Red Dawn remake is currently filming in MIchigan, with plans for a release next Autumn,
