With The A-Team movie already filming in Canada, it’s surprising that its taken until now for news of who would be playing B.A. Baracus to filter through. Although there were rumours that rappers Common or The Game would be playing the role, the Vancouver Sun is now saying that UFC champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has arrived on the set and will be playing the iconic part, which was made famous by Mr T in the 80s TV series.
Although there’s been no word from the studio as to whether Jackson will actually be taking on the role, the Vancouver sun seems pretty certain, and reports that the fighter is already in Canada readying himself for a six-seek shoot, and that he’s been taken off the UFC fight card so he can take part in the movie. He’s previously had bit parts on the likes of Confessions Of A Pit Fighter and The Midnight Meat Train.
If true, he’ll be joining Bradley Cooper as Faceman and Liam Neeson as Hannibal in the big-screen makeover, although the actor playing ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock has yet to be announced.
As you can see from the picture here, Rampage already has a bit of a thing for wearing over the top chains round his neck, so he may be a good choice for Baracus, as long as he’s practiced saying “I pity da fool” properly.
