While I’m inclined to say that anyone who says that they worked on alien spacecraft at Area 51 is a bit of a fatasist, Bob Lazar has found a lot of believers for his claims. It now appears there might even be a movie made about him, as Curmudgeon Films has bought the rights to his life story, with a screenplay, tentatively titled S4: The Incredible True Story of Bob Lazar, currently being written by Kenneth Yakkel.
Lazar claims that from 1988 to 1989 he worked at an area called S-4, next to Area 51 in Nevada, which involved him helping with research into nine ‘discs’. He says that he originally believed these were secret terrestrial aricraft, but he eventually concluded that they were alien in origin. He also claims that he was given briefings about the history of the contact between aliens from Zeta Reticuli and Earth over the past 10,000 years, as well as learning how the ETs used element 115 as a fuel to be able to control gravity and cross the chasms of space.
Unsurprisingly, many have questioned his claims and credibility – not least that there’s no record of him having the two advanced degrees he claims he has (although he says that’s part of a government campaign to delete his records to discredit him).
It’s not the first time someone has tried to turn his life story into a film, as both Peter-Gubers Production and New Line had a go in the early 90s, although those planned films were never made. Let’s hope Curmudgeon has better luck, as it’d make an interesting movies, whether you believe Lazar’s claims or not.
