Zach And Miri Make A Porno actress, Elizabeth Banks, is looking to get a bit more serious as Variety is reporting that she’s in final negotiations for a role in Paul Haggis’ (Crash) upcoming adaptation of the French film, Pour Elle, which is being retitled The Next Three Days for its Hollywood outing.
Banks will star opposite Russell Crowe in the movie, which is about a high school teacher (Crowe) who devises a daring plan to rescue his wrongfully imprisoned wife from prison after she’s sent away for murder. Although there’s no news on exactly which role Banks will fill, there’s a good chance it’s the wife. However if it were us, we wouldn’t want to be rescued from prison, as who’d want to be married to Russell Crowe? That said, there are a lot of people out there’d who happily rescue Elizabeth Banks, whether they’re married to her or not.
Paul Haggis will write, produce and direct The Next Three Days, which is due out sometime next year.
