Ever since the success of the Transporter and Crank films, it seems that filmmakers no longer feel the need to even pretend the action in their films could possibly happen in real life – and quite frankly, that’s fine by us. The film itself is about a tournament that takes place once every seven years, where 30 of the world’s deadliest assassins desend on an unsuspecting town with the last man standing getting $10,000,000 cash prize and the title of Worlds No 1, all for the sick entertainment of a group of billionaires. The movie stars Robert Carlyle, Ian Somerhalder, Ving Rhames, and, just to ensure there’s some sexy catsuit action, Kelly Hu.
There’s no news on a release date, although it’s looking like it’s going straight to DVD in a lot of countries, which from the evidence of the trailer, is a bit of a shame…
