With Avatar day only a week away, the first in-movie shot from James Cameron’s upcoming flick has been released and was posted over at /Film. The movie opens on December 18th and tells the story of an ex-marine (Sam Worthington) thrust into an effort to settle an exotic planet rich in bio-diversity, who eventually crosses over to lead the indigenous race in a battle for survival.
Take a look below to see the first image, which features Worthington sitting in front of a tank containing an Avatar – an engineered mix of human and alien DNA that can house a human consciousness, so that people can survive on the harsh planet, or head to /Film for a larger version.
