It may be very similar to the previously released US trailer for The Invention Of Lying, but the UK version is now out, and we felt it was worth posting just becauyse it’s very funny. It’s Ricky Gervais’ first film as director (with co-director Matthew Robinson) and is set in a world where no one has ever thought of lying, until a writer, Gervais himself, seizes on the idea and gives it a go. From the trailer it does look like despite having one of those premises that could end up looking contrived, it’s actually going to be very funny.
