The cast list of the remake of Red Dawn is filling up nicely with the news that four more teens have been brought onboard the movie to play Wolverines. Isabel Lucas (Transformers 2), Josh Hutcherson (Journey To The Center Of The Earth), Edwin Hodge (Mental) and Connor Cruise (Seven Pounds) will appear in the film about a group of teens who team up with a Marine and plot guerilla warfare against an invading force.
The newcomers join the previously announced Chris Hemsworth (Star Trek, Thor), who’ll be taking over the role played by Patrick Swayze, as well as Josh Peck (Charlie Sheen’s role) and Adrianne Palicki (Jennifer Grey’s part). Hutcherson meawhile will be taking over from C. Thomas Howell, Lucas will play Lea Thompson’s role, Hodge is Chad Savage’s replacement and Cruise will step into Darnne Dalton’s shoes. In case you’re wondering, Connor Cruise is indeed Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s kid, who was hidden from the public gaze by his parents for years, but is now stepping out on his own and trying to build up his acting career.
The Red Dawn remake is due out in Autumn 2010.
