Justin Timberlake continues his mission to try and be a movie star with The Open Road. He plays the son of a baseball legend who’s enstranged from his father (Jeff Bridges), but who tries to reconnect with his pops during a road trip. It’s an interesting move for Timberlake, and seems to suggest he wants to be taken seriously as an actor (and he was admittedly pretty good in Southland Tales), as presumably he could have gotten cast in much flashier roles. The Open Road should be out in the UK later in the year, but click below to see the trailer.
