While Hayao Miyazaki’s movies are never exactly the most normal of films, after watching this new trailer, it has to be said that Ponyo looks particular nuts. It seems to be about a weird looking goldfish that turns into a girl who can’t stop shouting about things. It looks like it could be aboslutely excellent, but boy does it seem weird. While the animated Studio Ghibli movie is out in the US in August, it’s not coming to the UK until February 5th, 2010, presumably so it can ride the wave of the film’s inevitable Best Animated Features Oscar nomination.
