Katie Holmes Starring In Sex & The City 2? – Mrs Cruise may lock horns with Samantha

3rd August 2009 By Tim Isaac

Sometimes just being Mrs. Tom Cruise isn’t enough, and you might want your own career – if only to fight off those rumours of Cruise being rather controlling and not wanting any woman he’s with to in any way overshadow his stardom. There’s little doubt that since taking up with Tom, Katie Holmes has become queen of the shrinking violets, although that may be something to do with having a young kid.

However it appears she may be about to return to the big screen playing a high powered New York business executive in Sex And The City 2. According to TMNZ, she’s been offered the role of a ballsy woman who locks horns with Samantha in the follow-up to last year’s hit movie.

While all the main ladies of Sex & The City are returning for next year’s follow-up, there’s been no news on exactly what the film will be about. Rumours suggest it may be Samantha getting pregnant, but currently that’s speculation. Personally I’m hoping it’s something different, as it’d be nice for Sex to move away from pretending to be about female empowerment and the real voice of women, while actually just saying that all they care about is men, babies and shoes.

And in case you hadn’t read is elsewhere, Jordan recently said that she’d screen-tested for a role in the Sex sequel as a big-boobed British nanny. We’re presuming she won’t get it though, as she can’t act for shit.

Sex And The City 2 is due out on May 28th, 2010.
