Disney’s really been trying to get the message out there in the last few weeks about their upcoming Tim Burton and Johnny Depp reinterpretation of Alice In Wonderland. It’s not even out until next March and they’ve already got film fans slavering with some truly sumptuous images. Now some new pictures have surfaced, this time from the August issue of Vanity Fair. These are proper photos rather than stylised character art and also include the first proper look at Mia Wasikowska as Alice herself.
All those images are below (if you’re on the main news page, click Read More to see them), plus take a look to the right for an Alice poster image that we haven’t brought you before. (And if you haven’t seen the fantastic character art CLICK HERE)
While there’s still some trepidation about the movie, largely because whilst everyone loved the preview pics of Burton’s Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, the movie itself wasn’t all that great, it’s difficult not to get a bit excited about this adaptation of Alice In Wonderland.
Anyone who’s read the Lewis Carroll’s books will know Wonderland is a far stranger and darker place than you’d think from the likes of the 1951 Disney animated movie, and with this being a sequel that sees Alice return to Wonderland 10 years after her first adventures, it gives Burton free reign to really run wild.
