Many people have been waiting for it for months, but now the annual Film4 Frightfest has announced its complete lineup up for 2009. The 10th annual horror event is taking place at London’s Empire Leicester Square (after moving from the now closed Odeon West End) between Thursday August 28th and Monday August 31st and will feature two screens stuffed with some of the finest fright flicks around right now, ending with the World Premiere of the hotly anticipated The Descent Part 2.
Featured treats will include Triangle from the director of Severance and Creep; Macabre, which is billed as “the bloodiest movie Film4 FrightFest has ever shown”; Dario Angento’s new film, Giallo; the remake of Night Of The Demons; Clive Barker’s Dread; and Case 39, starring Renee Zellwger. There’ll also be a screening of a remastered version of An American Werewolf In London, which will be attended by as many members of the cast and crew as the organisers can muster.
It’s a very impressive lineup for what is now pretty much the premiere horror festival in the UK, so you ought to try and get your hands on some tickets. Full festival passes and day tickets will be on sale tomorrow (July 4th), and if you want to know how to get your hands on one, head over to the Frightfest website. You can also get more info on the site about all the films that showing.
