It seems us Brits like taking people behind the scenes of our movies, as a production blog site have just launched for the Simon Pegg and Nick Frost flick Paul, while Ricky Gervais is busy blogging about the making of Cemetary Junction, which has just started filming at Pinewood.
The Paul site, www.whatispaul.com, features video blogs and behind-the-scenes photos, and will be updated as filming progresses (take a look below for one of the video blogs). As always Pegg and Frost are entertaining guys, so it look like it could be a site worth keeping an eye on. The film itself is a comedy about two sci-fi geeks who embark upon a pilgrimage in a RV to the center of America’s UFO heartland: Nevada’s infamous Area 51. While in the middle of that desert, the two friends encounter a fugitive alien by the name of Paul. Somewhat reluctantly, they embark upon an adventure that will change not just their lives forever, but also the lives of the friends and enemies they encounter along the way.
As well as Pegg and co., it seems Ricky Gervais wants to let you know about the making of his film, Cemetary Junction. On www.rickygervais.com he’s updating people of the state of the production. While it might not be the most in-depth look at the making of a movie, it does offer a few interesting insights into the first film that he and Stephen Merchant have both written and co-directed. The movie itself follows three friends, one of whom meets their old sweetheart, which sets in motion events that change all their live.
