Daniel Craig is out to prove he’s not just a secret agent by showing interest in a supernatural thriller called Dream House. He’s currently in advanced negotiations over a role in the movie, in which he would play a father who moves his family to a house that is haunted by the people who who were murdered there. While thast sounds pretty generic, hopefully there’ll be more to it than that.
One good sign is that it’s may well be directed by Jim Sheridan, the man behind My Left Foot, In The Name Of The Father, In America and Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. Sheridan’s certainly got a good pedigree, although this would be a slightly different sort of the porject for the usually very dramatic director.
It’s believed Craig is trying to make various different types of film to stop him getting typecast as 007, a fate which has befallen several of the other actors to step into the super agent’s shoes.
Neither Craig or Sheridan has signed on the dotted line yet, so things may still fall through, but if deals are done Dream House could be one to look out for.
