Boy am I glad I’m not Robert Pattinson. 12 months ago people might have vaguely recognised him from Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, but since the release of Twilight, he can’t go anywhere without being mobbed by crazy fans.
This week things got ptoentially dangerous when, while trying to get away from a mob of fans who were jostling him, he was hit on the hip by a taxi. Apparently he was pounced on by fans as he left a bookshop in New York (he’s in the city making a new movie called Remember Me) and even five security guards couldn’t stop the incident, which thankfully left the star unhurt. The guards apparently weren’t impressed, screaming at the girls, “You see what you did, you almost killed him!”
While many stars make a big deal about being followed around by fans and paparazzi and it just seems like moaning, for Pattinson it really does seem to be totally insane. At the moment he has to be pretty much dragged along by security guards if he needs to walk down the street, because of the thongs of women that flock whereever he goes. Having millions of ladies cooing at you might sound nice, but take a look at the video below to see what Pattinson’s life is like, and then ask yourself whether you’d really enjoy that.
