Ever got fed up with the fact you’re made of skin and organs and stuff and you’re not a metal robot that can turn from a truck into a something vaguely resembling a human? Well, worry no more as Paramount has launched a website that uses your webcam to turn you into Optimus Prime!
The pic above shows Movie Muser’s Tim Isaac with his head changed into the Autobot leader using the site’s ‘Augmented Reality’ technology, and yours could too if you go to www.weareautobots.com. If your webcam has a microphone you can also record dialogue and robotise your voice, for that extra bit of autobot authenticity.
Also on the site is a hidden message from Bumblebee featuring an exclusive montage of the Decepticon threat, which features a mini virtual Bumblebee watching a bit of the movie with you.
It’s a bit weird and a tiny bit pointless, but it’s also very clever and bizzarely entertaining, so head over to www.weareautobots.com and take a look. Or play the video below to see a bit of a preview from the guys who created the site.
