It seems like they’ve been talking about making an A-Team movie for years, but it now seems that although there have been endless casting rumours, the project is moving forward and they’re in the process of getting the members of iconic posse together.
Although perhaps a bit of a surprising choice, the latest name linked to the role of Hannibal is Liam Neeson. He’s apparently in contract negotiations for the role, which would see him stepping into George Peppard’s shoes as the leader of the team.
Also said to be in talks for the movie is The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper. While he’s previously issued the standard denials, which seem obligatory before a deal is fully signed, numerous sources have said that he’s in negotiations to play Faceman in the flick. To be honest, we could also imagine him as Howling Mad Murdoch, although that may not fit his current attempts to rise into the a-list.
Whoever they pick they’d better get a move on as the film is due out on July 31st next year, with Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces, Narc) directing.
