While Jigsaw might have died, that didn’t halt the Saw franchise for a second. And it now seems like we can ‘look forward’ to at least another three of the annual horror pics. Tobin Bell, who plays villain Jigsaw in the films, confirmed in a recent interview that producers are planning to go to at least Saw 8, as long as the fans keep watching the movies.
In an interview with Bloody Disgusting, Bell said, “I look forward to filling out the other pieces of the puzzle… There’s some pieces that people still haven’t seen.” Seeing as there’ve been barely any new pieces for the past three instalments, God knows what that means, unless they plan to do a Jason and bring Jigsaw back from the dead.
The good news is that they might actually take a break after Saw 8, with producers hinting that this would wrap up all the main storylines. However, just to make the world groan, Bell has now said, “Final is a relative term. Espeically in entertainment.”
At this rate you’ll be able to tell your grandchildren how you saw the first Saw at the cinema, just before they pop down the 3D holographic spectroplex (which we’re sure is what cinemas will be called in the future) to see Saw 84.
