In a recent interview, Terminator Salvation director McG revealed that he was once headbutted by actor Bill Murray. Many wondered why Murray didn’t return to the role of Bosley in the sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, but it appears it was largely because of events that happened on the set of the first film.
This is what McG had to say about it, “I don’t think there’s been a film I’ve made where there hasn’t been some kind of physical fight. I mean, I’ve been headbutted by an A-list star. Square in the head. An inch later and my nose would have been obliterated. I probably shouldn’t (reveal who it was). But it was Bill Murray. Y’know, it’s a passionate industry.”
It makes Christian Bale’s infamous on-set Terminator rant seem pretty pathetic in comparison. That said, with many people seeing McG as a bit of a hack, we’re betting there are plenty of people out there who are on Murray’s side.
