Tom Cruise is now in talks to appear in the new action comedy, Wichita, which is set to co-star Cameron Diaz. Both stars are said to be happy with the script and are in advanced negotiations about appearing in the flick, which will be directed by James Mangold (Walk The Line).
The story follows a secret agent (Cruise) who finds himself coming into and out of the life of a single woman. If all goes well, 20th Century Fox plan to release the movie next summer.
And if you can’t wait until then to get your Tom Cruise fix, you’ll be able to get hold of Valkyrie on DVD and Blu-ray from June 8th, when you get to see if he manages to assassinate Hitler (for those who weren’t paying attention in history class, no he didn’t).
Since the cinema release of that movie, Cruise has been linked to numerous projects, such as the Len Wiseman directed Motorcade, David Cronenberg’s The Matarese Circle and Kenckel Von Donnersmarck’s thriller, The 28th Ammendment, however it appears he’s likely to settle on Wichita.
