Oliver Stone is pulling his Edward Snowden biopic together. He’s already got Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead role, with Shailene Woodley as his girlfriend and Scott Eastwood also set to star. Now three more people are in talks, according to TheWrap.

Zachary Quinto, Melissa Leo and Tom Wilkinson are all in negotiations for key roles. Quinto will be attorney and journalist Glenn Greenwald, who Snowden entrusted with actually leaking the secret US government documents that caused a firestorm when they were released.

Melissa Leo will play Oscar-nominated documentary director Laura Poitras, who made Citizenfour about Snowden and also reported on the leaked NSA documents when they were first released.

Wilkinson meanwhile will play Guardian intelligence correspondent Ewen MacAskill, who was key in actually getting to documents checked and the information they contained to the public.

Oliver Stone will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Kieran Fitzgerald (The Homesman). It’s believed it will start shooting soon.

While some still aren’t sure whether Poltergeist ought to be remade – as they treat the original as sacrosanct – it’s too late now as the film is in the can and on its way. Now we can take our first look as we’ve got five images from the do-over.

The movie follow Eric and Amy Bowen (Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt), who move into a suburban home with their 8-year-old daughter Madison (Kennedi Clements). As you’d expect, there are some supernatural entities that don’t want them there and end up abducting Madison. Jared Harris plays the supernatural researcher brought in to help.

The film is described as a contemporary update of the original, with producer Sam Raimi commenting, “The original film commented on how we’ve let television get out of control, babysitting our kids. It’s only gotten worse with the handheld portable devices. Screens are everywhere.”

After several seasons of Game Of Thrones intrigue and skulduggery, as well as inventing the Sentinels in X-Men: Days Of Future Past, Peter Dinklage is heading for something a little different as he’s signed up to star in Michelle Darnell, opposite Melissa McCarthy, according to Variety.

McCarthy also co-wrote she script alongside Steve Mallory and her hubby Ben Falcone (who will also direct), which ‘follows a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading. When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.’

There are no precise details about Dinklage’s character, but it appears he’ll play the main antagonist. There was a wide variety of stars considered for the role, including Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm and even Oprah Winfrey, but they eventually went with Dinklage after deciding he’d be best to steal his scenes and chew the scenery.

The film will shoot this summer for release April 2016.

Channing Tatum and the other stripper boys are back this summer with Magic Mike XXL, and now the first poster is here, inviting us to take a long, hard look at Tatum’s crotch, which offers all the information.

We’ve also now got the best synopsis yet, for what Tatum has described as being a road trip movie. Here it is: ‘”Magic Mike” stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez and Gabriel Iglesias are reuniting for the hotly anticipated sequel “Magic Mike XXL”. Joining the returning cast, in brand new roles, will be Elizabeth Banks (“The Hunger Games” franchise), Donald Glover (“Community”), Amber Heard (“The Rum Diary”), Andie MacDowell (“Footloose”), Jada Pinkett Smith (“Gotham”) and Michael Strahan (“Live with Kelly and Michael”).

‘The new film will be directed and produced by Emmy Award winner Gregory Jacobs (“Behind the Candelabra”), who served as a producer on “Magic Mike,” as well as numerous features in a long-running collaboration with Steven Soderbergh. “Magic Mike XXL” also reunites “Magic Mike” producers Nick Wechsler, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin, with a screenplay by Carolin. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film, will executive produce.

‘Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, “Magic Mike XXL” finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel. But they want to do it their way: burning down the house in one last blow-out performance in Myrtle Beach, and with legendary headliner Magic Mike sharing the spotlight with them. On the road to their final show, with whistle stops in Jacksonville and Savannah to renew old acquaintances and make new friends, Mike and the guys learn some new moves and shake off the past in surprising ways.’

Hopefully the arrival of a poster means a trailer is on its way. It’s due in UK cinemas July 31st.
