When I first started watching this new trailer, it just seemed like all the others. A lot of flash and bang while telling you little about what was going on. However thankfully by the end, it reveals a lot more about the movie than we’ve seen before, explaining a little about the fact the Greek gods still exist and that Percy Jackson is the son of Poseidon. No only that, but he’s also the chief suspect in the theft of Zeus’ lightning bolt. The film, from Harry Potter 1 & 2 director Chris Columbus is due in cinemas on February 12th, and the more I see, the more interested I’m getting. New Daybreakers Trailer – International promo show a bit more of the sci-fi vampire tale
A new trailer has popped up for the increasingly cool looking Daybreakers. The film is set in the near future, when most of world’s population have been turned into bloodsuckers. Ethan Hawke is one of the small band of remaining humans, who are being hunted down by the vampires, who need their blood. But will anyone be able to find a blood substitute, or even cure, before the remaining human supply runs out? The film, which also star Willem Dafoe, Sam Neill and Isabel Lucas, is due out early next year. Although this new internation trailer starts out similarly to previous promos, it diverges about halfway through to give us a great new look at a very cool looking flick. Click below to take a look.
44-Inch Chest Trailer – Ray Winstone wants revenge!
Ray Winstone is back in his hard-guy persona for 44-Inch Chest, in which he plays a jealous husband who is heartbroken to discover his wife is cheating on him with a young French waiter. Colin and his motley group of friends decide to assemble a kangaroo court so that the cuckolded husband can restore his manhood by engaging in a spot of revenge. The first feature from music video and commercials director Malcolm Venville has generated a lot of buzz following its London Film Festival premiere, and it does look like it should be a visceral and intense movie. The movie will be out in the UK on January 22nd, 2010, but click below to see the trailer.
Mystery Team Short – Don’t Jerk Off To This – Who knew a bowl of fruit could be so alluring?
While Mystery Team went down a storm at Sundance, it hasn’t managed to pick up major distribution in the US, and so has had to settle with some wonderful viral marketing campaigns, including a plan to get cinemagoers to demand the film comes to their town, as well as release a series of some great short films and clips. The latest of these shorts takes the simple but bizarre premise of what happens when you tell three guys sharing a house not to jerk off to a photo of a bown of fruit. Although you wouldn’t think it would be something that would be too tough to resist, the results are hilarious.
There’s still no UK release date set for Mystery Team, which is about a group of former child detectives trying to bring their naive investigation style to a double murder case, but click below for the great new ‘Don’t Jerk Off To This Video’ (although it’s prob NSFW). Crazy On The Outside Trailer – Tim Allen turns director for getting out of jail comedy
Tim Allen has gone behind the camera for his first directorial debut with Crazy On The Outside, a comedy about a man (Allen) who’s just out of prison after three years, and finds life on the outside even more difficult than it was in jail. With his family smothering him, old associates trying to get him back into crime and most people who know him thinking he’s been in France, he’s certainly having a tough time. Tim Allen must know a bit about getting out of jail, as he was convicted of drug dealing in his youth. Crazy on the Outisde certainly has a great cast, including Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Julie Bowen and J.K. Simmons, so click below to take a look at the trailer. The film is due for release early next year.
Exhibit A Trailer – Take a look at the intense home video Brit thriller
It looks like Britain is trying to get in on the craze for all things that look like they were filmed by the actors on a home video, as seen in the likes of the recent Paranormal Activity. However rather than spooky goings on, Exhibit A, charts the disintegration of a family, as a daughter records the day-to-day life of the King family, which goes to hell when her father’s secret come back to haunt them all and he takes drastic and terrifying action. The title refers to the camera, which subsequently becomes Exhibit A. The film has actually been around since 2007, but only now following the success of Paranormal Activity it’s getting a bit of a resurgence.
